Mewgenics is a sardonic cat-breeding RPG roguelite developed by Edmund McMillen, developer of The Binding of Isaac, and Tyler Glaiel, co-creator of The End is Nigh. The game is set in the fictional unassuming Boon County, where players must manage their felines, whether in-house or on an adventure, to help them survive and multiply.
Mewgenics was released on February 10, 2026 on Steam. Currently, there are no updates regarding plans to launch the game on other platforms.

Mewgenics Gameplay
Mewgenics is a single-player game that boasts high replayability due to its roguelike playstyle. In the game, players must raise, breed, and manage their army of cats while sending the best candidates out for an adventure.
Stats and abilities of each cat can cater strongly to a specific party role as they battle or deal with encounters in turn-based-style dungeons. Players will be left guessing about what foes they’ll face, rewards they can earn, or how far they can get in each run, enticing them to try again and form the ideal feline team.

⚫︎ While under Team Meat, the game was originally called "Mew-genics."
⚫︎ Both developers of Mewgenics, Tyler Glaiel and Edmund McMillen, have co-created in the past with the game The End is Nigh.
