John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is a cooperative first-person shooter released on March 12, 2026 on Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment developed the game using the Saber Swarm Engine, which was also used for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and World War Z: Aftermath.
Toxic Commando is set in an alternate version of Earth that has been overrun by bile-infected mutant undead, and the player's team, lovingly called THE TOXIC COMMANDO, is the cheapest option to deal with them all.
Saber Interactive’s 4-player co-op, first-person shooter blends the large-scale horde combat seen in games like Left 4 Dead with an ’80s-inspired horror aesthetic and a "buddy-movie" style, over-the-top humor to boot.

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando centers around class-based co-op action against an endless tide of swarming enemies and specialized elite creatures. Players can utilize a range of wacky weapons and perks, and traverse environments using their favorite mutant-squashing vehicles.
Players can use shotguns, machine guns, bazookas, drones capable of emitting energy waves, and more. In addition to on-foot combat, vehicles such as armed Humvees and trucks equipped with spikes can be used to clear large groups of enemies.

Walter
Walter is the wisecracker of the mercenary group. He is played by Clive Standen, who played Titus in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine II and Rollo in the TV show Vikings.
Astrid
Astrid is the sassy and quick-witted member of the mercenary group. She is voiced by actress Charlet Takahashi Chung, who played D.Va in Overwatch and Hoops in Grounded 2.
Ruby
Ruby is the chaotic and violent member of the mercenary group. She is voiced by actress Lucy Martin, who played Ingrid in the TV show Vikings and Penny in Riviera.
Cato
