　⚫︎　The upcoming Update 3 contains the highly anticipated farming update where players can cultivate and harvest crops and care for animals. In addition, Hypixel Studios has teased that they are currently working on Exploration Mode's Cursebreaker Arc.
　⚫︎　Founder and CEO Simon Collins-Laflamme recently created a post thanking fans for their support and positive feedback for Hytale. However, he also took the opportunity to remind fans that Hypixel Studios is not chasing after "short-term satisfaction" by rushing updates. Rather, they hope to continue building a more solid foundation.
　⚫︎　Hypixel introduces necromancy, new customization options, an armor visibility toggle, and more in its second update.
　⚫︎　Hypixel Studios recently posted the full patch notes for Hytale's second update. The patch notes included an ophiodophobia toggle which is expected to replace in-game models of snakes among other additions and gameplay fixes.
　⚫︎　A Hytale fan modded Minecraft Classic 0.3.0 into the game, overcoming several technical problems along the way. The modder noted that he was able to do this through "pure map pixel data manipulation"
　⚫︎　Hytale developer Hypixel plans to release the game on consoles, but it may come later on as they are currently focused on making a good game. They are also not ruling out the possibility of a Steam release, and even contemplating on a potential mobile version of the game.

Hytale Overview

Hytale is an open-world sandbox RPG inspired by the best-selling video game of all time and pioneer of its genre, Minecraft. Similar to its predecessor, Hytale encourages immense levels of creativity and freedom in its gameplay, allowing players to explore what it has to offer through game modes that cater to different playstyles.

Hytale is created by Hypixel Studios, which initially started out as a YouTube channel that went on to create a mega-popular Minecraft server that went by the name of Hypixel. The team was later taken in by Riot Games, creators of League of Legends. Following a split in November 2025, Hypixel Studios then went on to finish development for the highly-anticipated Hytale, which would see its first early access release on January 13, 2026, 11 years after it was first unveiled.

Hytale Gameplay

Hytale possesses all of the familiar characteristics of sandbox gameplay, such as open-world exploration and emphasis on player freedom and experimentation, set within the framework of survival RPGs. In Hytale, players will have the freedom to explore different biomes while encountering and interacting with hundreds, if not thousands, of elements in their environment. They will be able to exercise their abilities as explorers, fighters, and creatives through the four game modes on offer: Adventure Mode, Exploration Mode, Creative Mode, and Competitive Multiplayer.
