Dragon Quest 12 Overview
Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate (or as DQ12) is an upcoming RPG by Square Enix, the 12th mainline entry for the series to date. It was announced during the series’ 35th year anniversary, but information about it has been scarce since then. It is now known which platforms the title will be available on, let alone its release date.

Dragon Quest 12 Gameplay
Dragon Quest 12 will be an RPG of sorts, but its main gameplay mechanics remain a mystery as information about the new entry has been short in supply since its announcement nearly five years ago. Series creator Yuji Horii hinted in a livestream that it may stray from the series’ traditional turn-based combat, opting for a more real-time action game reminiscent of most modern games. He has also stated that they will be iterating over the Command Battle mechanic from the series, and will not remove it completely, as fans have grown accustomed to the system from past titles.
