DarkSwitch Overview
DarkSwitch is a vertical survival city builder that blends city management, exploration, and tower defense, as players construct and defend a settlement high within the branches of a colossal tree. DarkSwitch will release on Steam and GoG on April 9, 2026.
Set in a dark fantasy world steeped in folk horror, the game has players protecting their growing city from a creeping fog that drives citizens into madness and conceals dangerous creatures. As the settlement expands upward through the tree’s trunk and boughs, players gather resources, research new technologies, and explore the ruins of past civilizations to uncover their secrets, all while making difficult decisions that shape the fate of their people.

DarkSwitch centers on building and managing a vertical city along the trunk and branches of a massive tree while defending it from the advancing fog. Players gather resources, construct production facilities, research new technologies, and maintain citizen morale as the settlement expands upward within limited space.
