007: First Light is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by IO Interactive, slated for a March 27, 2026 release. This new, standalone origin story for the iconic British spy explores the early days of James Bond as a young, and sometimes reckless, MI6 recruit on his first mission to earn his "00" status and license to kill.
It features new iterations of classic characters like M, Q, and Miss Moneypenny, and an original villain in the form of a rogue agent, 009. Players will navigate a world of espionage, completing objectives in breathtaking global locations as they hunt down a rogue agent.

007 First Light blends the signature sandbox-style espionage of IO Interactive’s Hitman series with cinematic, action-oriented set pieces. Players can choose their approach to missions, utilizing a "Creative Approach" that allows for stealth infiltration, action-packed combat, or a combination of both.
Key mechanics include "Spycraft," which involves using reconnaissance and environmental clues to progress; "Instinct," a limited resource that allows Bond to slow down time or bluff his way past guards; and an array of gadgets provided by Q Branch. The game also features intense, visceral combat and vehicle segments, including high-speed car chases.
