Echoes of Aincrad: Sword Art Online Gameplay
Echoes of Aincrad is an action RPG that makes use of real-time combat, appearing to be similar in scope to Monster Hunter Wilds. Players will be able to use a variety of weapons, attributes, and special skills to match their playstyles as they grow stronger and take on harder challenges. NPC companions will also ally themselves with the protagonist, each with their own set of unique abilities.
As a tale made by and for players, they are free to customize and reimagine their own protagonists through extensive avatar customization systems and choose their own battles, exploring the expansive world of Aincrad.
Echoes of Aincrad: Sword Art Online Story Plot
Players step into the floating world of Aincrad, a floating castle in the sky where both breathtaking scenery and shadowy danger coexist. As the protagonist of their own stories, the story is left in the player’s hands, where they’re allowed to shape their fate.
While there’s not much in the way of story just yet, the trailer features a red-cloaked mage-like figure towering over the players, who is presumably an antagonist luring players into their perilous little game.
