Infinite Wealth Receives Scores Perfect 40 in Famitsu
Infinite Wealth Becomes 30th Game to Accomplish This
Infinite Wealth becomes the 30th member to join the elite group of games to accomplish this milestone alongside titles such as Ocarina of Time and Street Fighter 6. Famitsu is unique in its scoring system as unlike other video game reviews, the 37-year-old gaming magazine publication assigns four critics to individually review and rate the game on a scale of 1 to 10.
The coveted 'Famitsu 40' is attained only when a game secures a perfect and unanimous ‘10’ from each reviewer, with the scores being cumulatively added up to 40. The RGG game achieves a remarkable feat by being the first to secure a 'Famitsu 40’ in 2024. This also marks the fourth game to achieve this rare status in the 2020s. Notably, it's the second game in the Like a Dragon(formerly known as Yakuza in the West) series to receive a ‘Famitsu 40’, with the previous one awarded to Yakuza 5 back in 2012.
We firmly believe that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is not just a game; it's a cinematic masterpiece and a strong contender for Game of the Year. Read our in-depth review by clicking on the link below.
