Project GAMM Developments Announced
Project Has Received An Official Name
Cygames recently announced the official title of Project GAMM. Going forward, it will be Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary. According to Weekly Famitsu, Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary will be a fantasy action game with a heavy emphasis on multiplayer, with player-versus-player (PVP) likely at its core.
According to the announcement, Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary is "'The Most Beautiful Battle in the World.' Thus is described the conflict that lies at the heart of this new original action game developed for the home entertainment market. Players will be able to enjoy the elegance and beauty that accompanies the flashy multiplayer battles set in the world in which mages of sun and rain dwell—Noir."
Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary's project leads include director and producer Kenichiro Takaki (Senran Kagura), illustrator Mogumo (Gundam: Witch From Mercury), composer Shirou Sagisu (Evangelion), and environment designer Kiyoshi Arai (Final Fantasy XII).
New Artworks And Screenshots Released
Since its official announcement in early 2021, information about Project GAMM has been few and far between. However, Cygames' recent post provides eager players another peek at the game's characters, environments, and pre-release models.
Cygames Exhibition: Artworks, which will run from September 2nd, 2023 to October 3rd, 2023 at the Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo, will have more exhibits for Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary, including a special promotional video. Collectively, the event will feature over 5,500 works in what Cygames has proudly called its largest art exhibition to date.
