The Japan Game Awards 2023, organized by Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA), is an event that is held to vitalize the industry as well as contribute to its growth. Every year, the event encourages the public to vote and recognize the outstanding products that have made a lasting impression in hopes to expand and advance the culture of computer entertainment.

Nominees for the Japan Game Awards 2023
All nominated games were released onto the Japanese market between April 1, 2022 - March 31, 2023. Additionally, all games were included in the general voting and were selected by the Japan Game Awards selection committee and based on these criteria namely: design, programming, graphics, sound, scenario, and the user evaluation.
