The Day Before is a post-apocalyptic survival game where players do their best to continue living in zombie-infested cities - preferably without dying. Its goals are similar to many survival games that involve zombies such as Project Zomboid: scavenge for supplies, manage your health, take refuge inside abandoned buildings, and fend off the undead.
There are gameplay trailers out on YouTube, but it’s unknown how the full game release will differ from the previews. However, judging from what’s out there right now, it doesn’t seem all that special. Sure the graphics look terrific and the crafting system seems like a lot of fun to dabble with, but other than that, it looks like a cookie-cutter zombie survival game.

The Day Before Story Plot
In The Day Before, you find yourselves in the shoes of a survivor who wakes up in a world overrun by the undead. These flesh-eating monsters have nearly wiped-out humanity and haunt the city streets of what was once called home by many. To survive, you must now scavenge for resources, fend off the undead, and search for answers within the derelict and abandoned cities of America.
The Day Before Gameplay
As a zombie survival shooter, keeping a low profile is the key to survival in The Day Before. After all, resources are scarce and steadily-dwindling in a post-apocalyptic landscape. In fact, with how considerate you must be in managing your resources, you’ll have to dabble in crafting and looting in order to survive.
This crafting system includes creating attachments for your weapons, giving you an invaluable edge in combat against any enemies you might encounter - living or otherwise.
Being able to protect yourself is very important since it opens up more of the map to explore and loot. Among the abandoned buildings and houses of post-apocalyptic America, you may find more resources or even better weapons and armor.

The Day Before’s latest trailer is a strange 36-second video featuring an expensive sports car, inappropriately upbeat club music, and a baffling lack of combat. Although the game does feature vehicles that you can commandeer, the trailer itself really doesn’t showcase The Day Before’s "zombie survival" aspect at all.
