Avowed Story Plot
Set in the world of Eora, the same world as Obsidian Studio’s Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed follows you, an envoy of Aedyr. You’re investigating a spreading plague and eventually find out the deeper, darker truth – a long-forgotten secret along with the land itself threatening to tear the world apart. You must use your powers to save the land, and yourself.
Avowed Gameplay
In Avowed, you will have access to multiple weapons and spells at the same time. You may wield your weapon in your right hand, be it a sword, a shield, a gun, or a bow, and have your left hand cast spells for support or be the main line of attack.
Foes everywhere will be no match for your spells, as they can be decimated by a huge fireball, be frozen in place, entangled into the ground by roots, shocked by harnessed electricity, or be lifted by a gravitational orb.

The reveal trailer shows off a war-forsaken world, where from it, empires were forged, heroes championed into monarchs, and blood was shed. A long time has passed, and the main character now faces an incoming booming threat armed with just a sword imbued with runes and their magical prowess.

The gameplay trailer establishes the protagonist and their powers, mainly how in their adventures, people have grown to be afraid of them. Though the protagonist wants to be trusted, it cannot be helped that they are feared due to how they fight – through various spells and magics to subdue their foes.

The emperor has chosen you, the player character, as the Aedyran envoy to The Living Lands. The Living Lands is plagued with the Dream Scourge, and your emperor wishes for you to eradicate the root of the problem. But everything isn't what it seems, as characters Lödwyn and Giatta tell you otherwise. Choose your side, forge your own destiny, and decide the Living Lands' fate.
