Exoprimal Story Plot
It is the year 2043, and the world has been ravaged by vortexes that unleash hordes of dinosaurs across the world. A group of rookie soldiers makes a crash landing on Bikitoa Island, where the mysterious AI named "Leviathan" forces them to participate in an endless string of wargames against the dinosaurs. Their only hope to survive is to use powerful Exosuits made by Leviathan itself.
It isn't long before the soldiers learn that they are stuck in a time loop, reliving the same day on Bikitoa Island over and over again so that Leviathan can gather data and use it to improve the Exosuits. But to what end? No one knows.
Exoprimal is a PvPvE third-person co-op shooter that pits you and your friends against hordes of dinosaurs and other enemies in different locations across Bikitoa Island. The game features different character classes depending on what suit you wear, with each suit having its own strengths and weaknesses. You’ll need to use your class correctly and work together as a team to defeat the endless waves of dinosaurs that will be thrown at you.

Exoprimal will come out on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 4 and 5 in two editions: Standard and Deluxe.
The Standard version ships with a copy of the game, while the Deluxe version comes with both the Head Start Kit and the Season 1 Pass. The Head Start Kit comes with Unlock Tickets and Exosuit Skins, while the Season 1 Pass has Exosuit Skins, Weapon Skins, Decals, Emojis, Stamps, Emblems, and one Background.
Exoprimal Pre-Order Bonuses and Open Beta Rewards
Regardless of what edition you get when you pre-order Exoprimal, you will get three Exosuit skins: The Bush Camo (for the Witchdoctor suit), the Shark’s Mouth - Gray (for the Deadeye suit), and the Stone Golem (for the Roadblock suit).
For those who participated in Exoprimal’s open beta in March earlier this year, you’ll also get an Aibius Medal charm for answering the survey.
Exoprimal Crossplay
During the Exoprimal open beta in March 2023, the website said that crossplay was available for matchmaking in the game, meaning that players were able to play with their friends even if they were using different platforms.
Capcom has then gone on to say that Exoprimal will support cross-platform matchmaking from day one. This means that players will have the opportunity to engage in battles and team up with others who are playing on different platforms. However, you can only form parties with players using the same console as you do.

Reveal Trailer (Released March 10, 2022)
This trailer shows the premise of the game - a co-op shooter where you’ll be facing waves upon waves of dinosaurs and other enemies a la Earth Defense Force. We see the different character classes in action, as well as some of the enemies like T. Rexes and Triceratops.
Gameplay Trailer (Released June 15, 2022)
Here, we learn the different game modes you can play in Exoprimal such as Dinosaur Cull, VTOL Defense, Data Key Security, Omega Charge, and Energy Taker. We are also introduced to the ominous AI "Leviathan", who we may or may not have to fight against in the end-game.
Dinosaur Introduction (Released July 25, 2022)
Here, we see a lot of the dinosaurs we’ll be facing off against such as the Velociraptor, the Pteranodon, the Triceratops, and the dreaded T. Rex. There are also the "Neosaurs" that have deadly abilities like the Sniper Neosaur that shoots projectiles, and the Evoker Neosaur that summons dinosaur allies.
Story Trailer (Released September 15, 2022)
This video introduces us to the setting of Exoprimal - Bikitoa Island, where the AI named "Leviathan" rules while dinosaurs run amok across the island. Our protagonists want to destroy Leviathan, but at the same time, they'll need the Exosuits made by the AI itself to survive the incoming attacks from the dinosaurs.

More details about the premise are revealed, with cryptic implications of Bikitoa Island being a place trapped in the past, with the same day repeating over and over. This is also where we learn the game’s final release date.
