World of Warcraft’s Latest Update
Patch 10.1.7 Presents All New Content
Dragonflight: Fury Incarnate is the latest patch for World of Warcraft released on September 5, 2023. It brings all sorts of new main story content, quests, cosmetics, and features to the MMO.
It also includes a new Heroic mode for the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon that was previously released in Patch 10.1.5 back in July 11, 2023. This marks the shortest a Mythic mega-dungeon has ever been made available in Heroic difficulty.
Lastly, the update signals the start of the new public event, Dreamsurge. Fend off invaders coming out of Waking Portals appearing from across the land and earn the new event currency to trade in for all kinds of goodies.
New Campaign Missions
Fyrakk’s ambitions have grown, coming after the new World tree. The Primal Incarnate of Fire seeks to claim the new World Tree’s power for his own. However, there is disagreement among his allies towards his quest for power. With conflict arising within their ranks, it would be the opportune time for the player to foil their plans.
Dreamsurge Public Event
Dreamsurge is a new zone-wide event where players can vote to receive powerful buffs that affect everyone within the zone. Buffs range from increased damage, more survivability, and increased EXP gained.
New weekly Dreamsurge quests award a new currency called Dreamsurge Chrysalis upon completion. They can be traded various goods such as the Dreamsurge event gear, Dreambound Armor. All Dreambound gear are item level 415.
Event Bosses spawn from Waking Dream portals that appear every 30 minutes. Defeating them awards another new currency, Dreamsurge Coalescence. They can be spent to purchase item level 402 gear tokens and other worthwhile things such as pets and a mount.
Heroic Difficulty for Dawn of the Infinite
The mega-dungeon Dawn of the Infinite has been split in two with four bosses each, and is now available in Heroic mode. It was released solely on Mythic difficulty, but with the new patch has become more accessible with lower Heroic difficulty and playable in halves.
New Ping System
The new ping system has arrived which enables players to quickly give details to other players. They can be used to mark locations and objects to bring attention to them, and even mark friendlies or enemies to easily disseminate info in the middle of battle.
Eastern Kingdoms Cup Dragonriding Event
A new Dragonriding event in the Eastern Kingdoms, where you fly and race through classic world zones. Accomplishing Standard, Advanced, and Reversed tracks will award Riders of Azeroth badges, which can be used to purchase past event items.
New Armor and Customization
Forsaken and Night Elf Heritage Armor Sets
Forsaken and Night Elves have received new questlines, which once completed will award Heritage Armor sets.
Draenei Customization
Prophet Velen has a new questline concerning his vision of Argus, and some strange occurrences in the old Legion world.. Completing the new quest will award new dark and red skin colors for Draenei characters.
