How to Beat Lord Ganabelt Valkyris

To aid in your battle against Lord Ganabelt, here are some tips that you can utilize in your fight.

1. Equip Alexandrite
2. Focus more on dodging
3. Use Boost Attacks efficiently
4. Don't hesitate to use items

Equip Alexandrite

Equip Alexandrite to dramatically reduce the damage you receive from Lord Ganabelt's Light attacks. It is recommended to gather enough Chrysoberyl Mass to craft Alexandrites for all party members but if you lack materials, you should prioritize Shionne as she is your party's main healer.

Useful against Indignation

Indignation is Ganabelt's trump card. This Light-type attack hits the entire room there is no way to dodge or block it. It can potentially wipe out the entire party so equip all members with Alexandrite if you can and prepare to recover your lost health quickly.

Focus More on Dodging

Ganabelt's attacks are difficult to read as he can suddenly blink to your position and cast an Arte. He can also perform two consecutive rush attacks without warning.

Focus more on dodging than attacking as he can retaliate while you are mid-combo.

Use Law and Rinwell's Boost Attacks

Specifically Law and Rinwell's Boost Attacks play a key role in this boss fight. Use Law's Boost Attack every time you can until Ganabelt's barrier breaks during the first phase.

Save Rinwell's Boost Attack for the right moment so you can interrupt Ganabelt's casting and down him for a short period, letting you land a few hits safely.

Don't Hesitate to Use Items

Don't just rely on Shionne for healing. Remember that you can also use items to recover your party's health especially when you're running out of CP or reserving some for Resurrection.

You can also consume Orange Gel to restore CP if needed.

Control Alphen or Law

If you're not confident with your fighting skills, control Alphen as he has a lot of HP and will last longer in close combat than the rest of the party. Using Rinwell to deal damage is not recommended since Ganabelt uses quick long-range attacks and can interrupt Rinwell's spells and take her out.

However, if you're really used to the controls especially dodging, you can control Law for higher damage output. Law's perk gives him damage boosts by attacking in quick succession but will wear off if he gets hit or wasn't able to hit an enemy for a certain period of time.

Increase damage output with Steel

Steel increases Attack and Elemental Attack by 30%. This gives Law increased damage output so cast this first before executing combos. Try to avoid getting hit to build up concentration and increase your offensive capabilities even more.

Lord Ganabelt Valkyris Attack Patterns

Blink

Ganabelt is capable of teleporting next to you or other party members and immediately attack. Prepare to dodge when he stands still as it is likely to be followed up with a blink.

Arcane Rush

One of his main attacks is a rush attack. Ganabelt will always perform two consecutive rushes before using a different attack (usually a Blink). You can Perfect Dodge each rush for bonus hits.

Indignation

After losing half of his HP bar, he will summon clones of himself and erect a large barrier while he casts Indignation. This attack is unavoidable so prepare to heal after especially if you don't have Alexandrites equipped.

Try to take out his clones while he's charging as they will start to attack after the first Indignation cast.
