How to Change Strategies

Open Menu.png

Strategies in Tales of Arise are a great way of customizing your team's playstyle according to their needs. With this feature, you can decide what your non-controlled characters would do in a battle including when to use healing artes and items, what to do depending on the enemies' level and difficulty, and whether or not to conserve your CP.

Utilize this feature so you don't have to be worried about your non-controlled party members during battle.

Which Strategy Should You Choose?

Best Preset Strategy

Fight with moderation and Focus on healing are the two best preset strategies we recommend.

Fight with moderation is great for normal enemy battles and when you're grinding for EXP or Gald.

On the other hand, Focus on healing is great for boss fights and gigant zeugle fights.

List of Preset Strategies

Strategy Description
Fight with moderation ・Use healing, support, and KO recovery artes
・Use items if CP is insufficient
No items ・Use healing, support, and KO recovery artes
・Fight without using items
Focus on healing ・Use healing and KO recovery artes when needed
・Keep a safe distance from enemies when low
・Use items if CP is insufficient
Fight aggressively ・Use support artes that boost attack
・Use KO recovery artes
・Use items if CP is insufficient
Save CP ・Save CP when fighting
Don't spend CP ・Don't spend CP when fighting
Go all out against bosses ・Use healing, support, and KO recovery artes
・Use items if CP is insufficient
Healing only ・Only use healing and KO recovery artes
・Movement is limited
Don't do anything ・Stay still when fighting

Prioritize Healing

Since you'll be using the strategy Fight with Moderation in normal zeugle battles, it's unlikely that your party members will be incapacitated.

With this in mind, it is much better to prioritize healing when you use this strategy. If you think this strategy won't work well with your playstyle, you can always customize them to your liking.

Prioritize Reviving KO'd Party Members

This strategy works best against bosses and gigant zeugles. However, these enemies will have a higher attack power and can one-shot your characters easily.

Because of this, we recommend the above setting which focuses on reviving any party member that has been KO'd.
