Meet Merchant Kale

Merchant Kale is the first Merchant you'll encounter. His appearance evokes a certain someone... jolly.

Make sure to pick up a Crafting Kit and Torch when you have enough Runes.

Meet Renna

Renna won't be at the Church of Elleh the first time you visit. Instead, she will appear after you receive the Spectral Steed Ring from Melina at the Gatefront Site of Grace. You will need to fast travel back to the Church of Elleh in order to meet Renna for the first time.

She'll give you the Spirit Calling Bell and Lone Wolf Ashes, which will certainly come in handy for the early enemy encounters.

Upgrade weapons at the smithing table

Weapons feeling a little flimsy? There's an anvil to the left of Merchant Kale that you'll definitely want to check out to upgrade your equiptment. You'll need to get Smithing Stones in order to use it, though.
