With Power Stancing or Dual Wielding, you can use the L1 (default buton) to use both weapons to attack simultaneously. Not only does this allow you to break through defenses and deal damage more easily, it can also make stat inflicting weapons much more effective since you apply twice the effect in one go!

Shields are invaluable for players that wants to play safe or just downright increase their survivability. However, most shields will either have the Parry skill or other unique skills equipped into them. This will turn your skill button into a parry or another skill making your weapon's current skill inaccessible unless two-handed or the shield is swapped out. Shield skills can be removed using the “No Skill” Ash of war to make skill usage much easier.
