High Jumping

High JumpPress X / A while in a Spirit Spring

Pressing the X / A button while inside a Spirit Spring which looks like a gust of wind encircling a small patch of ground, will make you jump high into the air. This will allow you to reach high-up places you couldn't reach on foot.

What are Mounts

You can summon Torrent to ride around The Lands Between. Torrent is fast, can double jump, and can get you to places much easier than you can on foot.

Used for Mounted Combat

Mounted Combat
While mounted, you can also engage in combat. Pressing the left shoulder buttons will make you attack to the left, while pressing the right shoulder buttons will make you attack to the right. The added evasion and speed from a mount will allow you to avoid dangerous attacks or outrun powerful enemies.

You can quickly switch between mounted and on-foot combat by jumping off your mount.

Two-Handing Your Weapon Deals More Damage

If you two-hand your weapon before mounting and attack normally, you will deal more damage.

The animation does not change, but the damage different is very noticable.

You can also charge up a Strong Attack while moving to deal with several enemies!
