Raising Your Score at Merry Mountain R

Position Points and Gimmicks are the Most Important

In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.

Tips for Raising Your Score

Rocket Start

Always start with a Rocket Start. You can get the highest bonus score possible if done correctly. It will also help you take an early lead in the race.

Drifting

Perform Mini-Turbo Boosts to earn more score in this course. You can also use it to extend your combo to get an even higher score!

Ramps and Dash Panels

There's a bunch of ramps and dash panels at the start of the race. Be sure to make use of them and perform a long combo right off the start!

Super Half-Pipe Trick

Earn extra points by performing a Super Half-Pipe trick by going through the pink panel on the mountain peak. It can also give you a speed boost, which can help you extend your lead or catch up to leading opponents!

Shortcut

We highly recommend going through the shortcut, as it will lessen your travel time and will also give you extra points. You can find it right after where you can perform a Super Half-Pipe trick.
