Raising Your Score at RMX Mario Circuit 1R/T

Position Points and Gimmicks are the Most Important

In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.

Tips for Raising Your Score

Rocket Start

Rocket Start (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
Starting with a Rocket Start will give you the advantage to take an early lead in the race. You can also get the highest bonus score possible if you release your finger at the right timing.

1st Gliding Area

1st Gliding Area (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
You will access the 1st gliding area at the start of the race. Gliding will let you perform a combo which will help you increase your score.

Extend Glide Time

Extend Glide Time (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
You can extend your glide time by hitting the top of the goomba. But be careful, you must hit them right or you will crash.

Ramps, Road Humps, and Blocks

Road Humps (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
Ramps, road humps, and blocks are all over this course. You can create a long combo starting on this road hump. Drift while performing jump boosts to maximize the score you can get.

Drifting

Drifting (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
Performing Mini-Turbos will give you the needed speed and extend your combo as well. Drift along curved areas to take advantage of your opponents and increase your score.

Pipes

Pipes (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
Be careful when drifting as there are also pipes in this course. Your kart will slow down a bit once bumped into them.

2nd Gliding Area

2nd Gliding Area (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
Make sure you have created a combo count before accessing the 2nd gliding area to increase it further. You can also extend your glide time by landing on the dash panel.

3rd Gliding Area

3rd Gliding Area.jpg
The 3rd gliding area is placed at the end of the curved platform. Access this for a faster way to the finish line and extend your combo streak.

Coins

Gliding (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
Collect the coins in the air while gliding! These coins will add to the combo you are making and can also use to buy things in the Shop.

Shortcut

Shortcut (RMX Mario Circuit 1RT).jpg
After collecting the coins while gliding, you can land on this corner for a shortcut. We recommend using this shortcut only if you are not in the lead and if you have a mushroom with you. Use the mushroom after landing outside the race track to help you get into the finish line quickly.
