Raising Your Score at Donut Plains 1R/T

Position Points and Gimmicks are the Most Important

In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.

Tips for Raising Your Score

Rocket Start

Starting with a Rocket Start will give you the advantage to take an early lead in the race. You can also get the highest bonus score possible if you release your finger at the right timing.

Drifting

Donut Plains courses have a wide race track so you can drift easily. You can perform Ultra Mini-Turbo boost in the early game before reaching the first road hump. Ultra Mini-Turbo boosts will give you more points than Mini-Turbos.

Road Humps and Platforms

There are a total of 3 road humps and 1 long curved platform in this course. Do not forget to drift while going over to these road humps and platforms. So you can maximize the combo and points you can get!

Gliding

Collect the coins in the air while gliding! These coins will add points to your combo streak. You can also use them to buy drivers, karts, gliders, and other things in the Shop.

Using of Items

Do not forget that you can throw your items forward or backward to your opponents. Hitting an opponent will also give you certain points and can also give you the chance to get ahead of them. Just remember to save at least one item at your back (like bananas or green shells) to block your opponents' attack from behind.
