In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.
Always start with a Rocket Start. You can get the highest bonus score possible if done correctly. It will also help you take an early lead in the race.
Ramps, Platforms, and Road Humps are normally provided in a T course. So, it will be easy to make a long combo since these ramps are close to each other to perform jump boosts.
You can perform a long and an unbreakable combo starting from this platform. Just make sure to go through every ramp you see to have a combo streak.
Drifting either on the right or left side of this bridge would be better than just driving on the center. It will give you points on doing the Mini-Turbo Boost and extra jump boost before gliding.
Do not forget to drift while going through dash panels on the suspension bridge. This is to maximize your points and at the same time would give you a boost to take the lead.
Use your items to take advantage and slow down your opponents. Hitting an opponent also gives you extra points. Do not forget to save at least 1 item (except mushroom) to block your opponent's attack.
Use this shortcut only if you have a mushroom to give you the needed speed. Going outside the track will slow you down.
