Raising Your Score at Mario Circuit 2R/T

Position Points and Gimmicks are the Most Important

In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.

Tips for Raising Your Score

Rocket Start

Rocket Start (Mario Circuit 2RT).jpg
Starting with a Rocket Start will give you the advantage to take an early lead in the race. You can also get the highest bonus score possible if done correctly.

Drifting

Drifting (Mario Circuit 2RT).jpg
Mario Circuit 2R/T has a lot of curved areas so you can easily perform drifting. Perform Mini-Turbo boosts as these will help you speed up and extend your combos at the same time.

Ramps, Road Humps, and Platforms

Road Humps (Mario Circuit 2RT).jpg
Ramps, road humps, and platforms are normal on trick courses. You can easily create a long combo and raise your score on these kinds of courses. So make sure not to miss these road humps to have a high combo count!

Combo Area

Combo Area (Mario Circuit 2RT).jpg
You can perform a long combo on this area, starting from the dash panel. The dash panel will give you a short boost and also gain points from it. And make sure not to miss going over road humps as well as collecting coins to have a high combo count!

Obstacles

Piranha Plant (Mario Circuit 2RT).jpg
Watch out! There are Piranha Plants in this course. They are placed along with curved areas so be careful when drifting. You will slow down once they reach you.

Shortcut 1

Shortcut (Mario Circuit 2RT).png
Access this shortcut on the right side of the road if you are not in the lead to catch up with your opponents. And do not forget to use a Mushroom when trying to access the shortcut. Going outside the track will slow you down.

Note: If you are in a good position in the race, we recommend staying on the road. Go over road humps and continue your combo streak to increase your score!

Shortcut 2

Platform (Mario Circuit 2RT).jpg
Go straight to this platform for a faster way to the finish line. Do NOT turn right! There is a Piranha Plant on this side, it might reach you and slow you down. Going through the first platform mentioned earlier would be safer.

>>2 I just don't like them, that's all. But it's also fine because it won't be a Mario game without the piranha plants :)
