Raising Your Score at Mario Circuit R/T

Position Points and Gimmicks are the Most Important

In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.

Tips for Raising Your Score

Rocket Start

Rocket Start (Mario Circuit R/T).jpg
Always start with a Rocket Start. You can get the highest bonus score possible if you manage to let go at the right timing. Rocket Start will also give you the needed boost and help taking an early lead in the race.

Ramps, Road Humps, and Platforms

Road Humps (Mario Circuit R/T).jpg
This course has enough ramps, road humps, and platforms to do jump boosts. Make sure to go over each of these ramps as much as possible to create a long combo count. Doing this will greatly increase your score.

Drifting (Mario Circuit R/T).jpg
Performing a Mini-Turbo Boost would be easy as this course has a wide racing track. Do this to get ahead of your opponents and extend your combo at the same time.

Shortcut 1

Shortcut 1 (Mario Circuit R/T).jpg
You will see this shortcut right after exiting the pipe tunnel. Access this this shortcut if you are not in the lead to catch up with your opponents.

Dash Panels

Dash Panel (Mario Circuit R/T).jpg
Make use of the dash panels on the road in the late game. Dash panels will help you speed up and also gain points from it.

Shortcut 2

Shortcut 2 (Mario Circuit R/T).jpg
Access this shortcut only if you are in the 3rd place or below to catch up with your opponents. Using a Mushroom will help you to access this shortcut smoothly.

Not understanding how players with driver/kart/glider of level 3/2/3 can possibly reach scores that a 6/6/6 player has hard time achieving?!? I am not a shabby player by any means and I cannot figure out how. I get frenzies, long combos, etc....what is going on???
