★About Berlin TourNEW
This guide will show you how you can raise your Player Level in the game Mario Kart Tour. Read on to learn the benefits of raising you level, as well as the quickest ways to raise it!
List of Contents
You can raise your Player Level by placing in the top 3 of a race. You earn a percentage based on your spot, and reaching 100% will increase yout Player Level. As your rank goes up, the amount of races you will need to clear to level up will increase.
The table below shows the percents that your gauge is filled for Level 11.
Placement | Percentage Increase |
---|---|
1st | 6-8% |
2nd | 2.5-3.5% |
3rd | 1-1.5% |
Playing the same course will still give you Exp towards your Player Level, but the amount gained is lower than when you play different courses. Try and play a wide variety of courses available in Mario Kart Tour for you to get more Exp towards your player level.
When coming in 4th place, you will not receive any points toward the next level, and getting 5th place or lower will cause you to lose points from your player level. Additionally, quitting mid-race will also cause your points to decrease.
If you are not concerned with getting a super high score in every raise, you can prioritize choosing specific karts and gliders in every race, as opposed to choosing favored equipment. Gliders with skills such as Red Shell Plus and Mushroom Plus will help you gain and retain a lead, while karts with skills like Mini-Turbo Plus or Dash Panel Plus help you get that maximum speed!
Since you will need to be in the top 3 to increase your player level, always select courses that are easy for you to get into a top spot. The courses below are our recommended courses, as they lack many hazards and are easy to drive through. Use this list if you are unsure of what courses to drive on.
Course Name | Features |
---|---|
![]() |
・Easy turns and many straight roads ・A bit long, so even if you fall behind it is easy to make a comeback |

・Lots of curves, excellent for Mini-Turbos ・A bit long, so even if you fall behind it is easy to make a comeback ・You can easily use the shortcuts to get ahead of the opponents |
![]() |
・Quite short and easy to turn through ・Slightly difficult to make a comeback here |
Always choose the highest cc available when raising to raise your Player Level. Since you will likely be playing the same courses repeatedly, a faster speed makes the race end quicker. 200cc requires the purchase of a Gold Pass, but if you do not have a Gold Pass, you should play on 150cc instead.
Player Level | Reward |
---|---|
2 | Unlock 100cc Races |
3 | Unlock 150cc Races |
7 | Shop Daily Select 2nd Row |
12 | Shop Daily Select 3rd Row |
When you raise your Player Level, you will receive certain rewards such as Rubies or Coins. There is a limit on the number of Rubies you can obtain, so this will be one of the best ways to obtain them.
Having a higher player level gives you more points towards placements when finishing a lap or race. This will be of great help to you as it will give you more points towards the goal for obtaining Grand Stars in each race.
