Raising Your Score at Ghost Valley 1

Position Points and Gimmicks are the Most Important

In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.

Tips for Raising Your Score

Rocket Start

Always start with a Rocket Start. This will help you take an early lead in the race. If done correctly, it will give you the highest bonus score possible.

Drifting

Make sure to perform Mini or Super Mini-Turbo Boost to speed up and take the lead. This will also give you more points and can extend your combo.

Road Humps

There are a few road humps provided in this course. So make sure to go over these road humps to perform jump boost and increase your score.

Shortcut

You can access this shortcut if you have an item to break the wooden cutout. This is a faster way to get into the finish line. You can use a mushroom or any item (except coins and bananas) to access this shortcut smoothly.

Using of Items

Use your items to take advantage and slow down your opponents. Hitting an opponent with an item also gives you extra points. Do not forget to save at least 1 item (except mushroom) to block your opponent's attack.
