Raising Your Score at Mario Circuit R

Position Points and Gimmicks are the Most Important

In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.

Tips for Raising Your Score

Rocket Start

Always start with a Rocket Start. You can get the highest bonus score possible, if done correctly. It will also help you take an early lead in the race.

Obstacles

The only obstacles in this course are the goombas and pipes. Avoid them as you will slow down when you bump into them. You can take them down when you use a Mega Mushroom or when you activate the Frenzy Mode.

Drifting

You can perform an Ultra Mini-Boost as there are wide tracks in this course. This will give you higher points than performing a Mini and Super Mini-Turbo Boost. It will also help you speed up and take advantage of your opponents.

Combo Area

Perform a long combo right after using the gliding area. When you land inside the castle, collect the coins while drifting to make your combo unbreakable.

Shortcut 1

Go over the ramps on the left or right for your advantage to take the lead. Access these ramps only if you have a mushroom with you to help you speed up. Otherwise, you might get left behind because going outside the track will slow you down.

Shortcut 2

Access this ramp for a faster way of getting into the finish line. Again, go over this ramp only if you have a mushroom.
