We regret to announce that we are ending the coverage of Mario Kart Tour. Thank you for all the support in reading our coverage of updates, event guides and character releases for Mario Kart Tour.
This guide will show you how to make combos in Mario Kart Tour. Additionally, it will explain factors on how to trigger combos and tips for making big combos.
A combo is a set of different bonus actions performed within a short period of time. Just like in many other games with combos, you can do multiple actions in succession to give you a combo multiplier that will greatly boost your score.
Doing combo in Mario Kart Tour is simple. You just need to do any of the following consecutively within a short period of time:
These will trigger a combo multiplier that can multiply your points greatly. While combo time is active, do any of them to extend it even further.
Rocket Start is the very first action you can do to start your combo. After doing the rocket start you can follow with a mini turbo boost or other actions that can trigger a combo.
Glide Time can trigger combos just by staying up in the air for a long time and it will multiply your combo greatly.
Doing different types of boosts (mini-turbo, jump, etc.) can increase your combo multiplier, so try doing a lot of boosts consecutively.
Using items such as throwable and power-up items can continue your combo streak or start your combo. Always use items to increase your combo!
Getting a driver and taking it to its Favorite Course can trigger a Frenzy Mode as well. Tap continuously on the screen once it's activated, and it will let you use items and give you a long combo.
Taking out obstacles such as Traffic Cones, Sheep, Goombas, or Pipes can continue your combo. Take them out if you have an extra item to extend your combo and earn some points!
Picking a glider at its favored course can give a combo bonus and big combo time boost. It is always better to equip the best glider that will favor the course to gain more combo bonuses.
Be sure to level up Glider Skill, as it will further increase combo time. You can level up your glider by obtaining and using a level up ticket or getting a duplicate glider from the the Pipe or from the daily select shop.

If you cannot trigger a combo or continue a combo, you can always depend on boosts, especially the Mini-Turbo boost. You can use anywhere and anytime to start or continue a combo.
Frenzy Mode is the best boost for a combo because you can just tap continuously to trigger combos. Be sure to take advantage of it when you get into Frenzy.
Combo duration only lasts for 1-2 seconds. If you do not do any action after that, the combo will break. Be sure to connect another combo action before that happens!
