This guide explains the Slipstream boosting technique in Mario Kart Tour. Read on to learn how to do a Slipstream in a race and tips on performing one.
List of Contents
Slipstream is a technique in Mario Kart Tour in which your driver speeds up while driving directly behind another player. Slipstream is one of the best ways to get ahead of an opponent that is just in front of you, as players can take advantage of the boost to pass the player they are tailing.
Doing a Slipstream is simple. Simply drive behind your opponent's kart and stay close behind them for a few seconds to gain a speed boost.
Only do slipstream on opponents without an item on their back to avoid crashing. If they have one on their back, you can use your own to destroy them so you can do a Slipstream without the risk of crashing.
|Slipstream Plus||Increases Slipstream boost time and points earned for performing one.|
You can get more points and longer boosts if you use a kart with Slipstream Plus skill. It can help you overtake drivers in front of you and even increase the gap between them when your kart has this skill. Check this list below to see the karts with this skill.
