We regret to announce that we are ending the coverage of Mario Kart Tour. Thank you for all the support in reading our coverage of updates, event guides and character releases for Mario Kart Tour.
This guide will show all the methods in getting Rubies, including free Rubies, in Mario Kart Tour. Read on to know how and where to use the Rubies in the game.
Finishing the first cup on your first play rewards you with Rubies. These can be used for your first fire from the Pipe, and are thus crutial for Rerolling as well.
You can get Rubies from Tour Gifts, which you can unlock by earning Grand Stars in the courses of the tour. You can obtain more if you are subscribed to Gold Pass. You can also unlock them if you have Star Tickets.
How to Collect Grand Stars
There are several Challenges in the game and you'll get Rubies as rewards if you can clear them. You will also earn some coins if you manage to fill up the row, column, or diagonal slots if the challenge.
You will get Rubies for raising your Player Level. Every 5 levels you get (starting from 0), you will get 5 Rubies as a reward. You can level up by winning races in the game.
How to Raise Player Level
You can get Rubies for clearing the Today's Challenge on the specified day where you can get them. But firing off the pipe from it can sometimes give you a smaller amount of Rubies if you're lucky.
Participating in the league weekly ranking rewards you with Rubies. You will also receive other items such as Points-Cap Tickets, Level-Boost Tickets, etc. The higher your rank, the higher the rewards you can get.
You can purchase Rubies with real currency by going to the shop. However, we recommend just getting the Gold Pass instead as you'll earn more Rubies for a cheaper price.
The Gold Pass rewards you with Rubies. Some Rubies in the tour gift can only be received when you have the gold pass. You can get additional Rubies if you completet the Gold Challenges, which is exlusive to Gold Pass subscribers only.
Gold Pass Benefits and How to Cancel
You can exchange Event Tokens for rubies in the Token Shop. This is one of the best way to get Rubies without using real money. For the information on how to get Event Tokens, click this link below!
How to Get Event Tokens
There will be times you'll receive Rubies through mail when an event is going to happen or is happening in the game or in the official Twitter page of Mario Kart Tour. For example, if the current tour is a VS. Tour, both teams will get rubies when it ends, but the winning team will always get higher rewards than the losing team.
You can use Rubies to fire the pipe to unlock new karts, drivers, and gliders. 5 Rubies lets you fire 1 time, but 45 Rubies will let you fire off 10 times, saving you an extra 5 Rubies.
You can use Rubies to enter the coin rush event. This is a great way to earn lots of coins, but since coins can be obtained through racing alone, we suggest saving your Rubies for the Pipe.
