Raising Your Score at Yoshi Circuit

Position Points and Gimmicks are the Most Important

In order to obtain the most points possible, you should aim for a high position and use items to knock your opponents out of the lead.

Tips for Raising Your Score

Rocket Start

Always start with a Rocket Start. You will get the highest bonus score when you perform the Rocket Start correctly. Rocket Start will also give you an early lead in the race.

Shortcut

The shortcut in this course is hard to access. It is required to use mushroom so that you will not slow down and fall off the cliff when you hit the wooden cutouts that are blocking the way.

Obstacles

When you see a piranha plant on the side of the race track, go to the opposite side to avoid getting hit by them.

Mini-Turbo Boosts

Yoshi Circuit has long curves which are great for executing ultra mini-turbo boosts. Ultra mini-turbo boosts give more score than mini and super mini-turbo boosts.

Mini-Shortcut

You can use a mini-shortcut in the zigzag part of the course. Use a mushroom to easily access the shortcut. Shortcuts will help you get the first place and give better scores!
