How to Fight BTs | Death Stranding

This page contains information about fighting BTs in the game Death Stranding. Read on to know more about how to deal with BTs, including strategies against them and proper positioning.

How can I defeat BTs?

Use Hematic Grenades

Death Stranding Hematic Grenade
Hematic Grenades are lethal weapons against BTs. Throwing Hematic Grenades at BTs will deal significant damage. Crafting several of these weapons, however, is not recommended, as crafting them will consume your precious resources. Avoiding BTs is the best solution, and fighting should be a last resort.

What happens if I lose to a BT?

Voidout will Occur

Death Stranding Fallout
When a human necrotizes or is defeated by a Catcher, a Voidout will occur at that location. Getting defeated by a Catcher is lethal, but Sam can come back to life due to being a repatriate. For more information about Repatriation, see the link below.
