List of Contents
The Porter Grade is a scale used to evaluate Sam's performance on deliveries. Performing well on deliveries will increase Sam's Porter Grade, which will improve his abilities and allow him to perform better on future deliveries.
Sam's Porter Grade is divided into five categories, each based on a certain category of tasks accomplished during a delivery. The five Categories are as descibed below.
|Bridge Links||Measures Sam's performance in interacting with other players|
|Delivery Time||Measures Sam's performance in making a Timed Delivery in good time|
|Delivery Volume||Measures the amount of Cargo which Sam chose to carry|
|Cargo Condition||Measures the final condition of the Cargo on arrival|
|Miscellaneous||Measures additional achievements, like traveling through BT-laden areas and creating new routes|
When Sam completes a delivery, he will receive Likes depending on how well he performed in the five Categories. He can use these Likes to level up chosen Categories of his Porter Grade. Every time Sam's Porter Grade is increased by 10 levels in one of the five Categories, his abilities will improve accordingly, depending on which category he increased.
|Bridge Links||Allows Sam to create Strand Contracts with other porters, which allow him to ask them for materials and which give his likes greater effectiveness.|
|Delivery Time||Increases Sam's stamina, which allows him to go further without getting tired, so he can make deliveries faster.|
|Delivery Volume||Increases Sam's maximum load weight by 5 kg, allowing him to carry ever greater volumes of Cargo.|
|Cargo Condition||Increases Sam's balance, which decreases the probability that he will fall down and damage the Cargo.|
|Miscellaneous||Increases how many likes Sam receives, allowing him more potential to level up more on future deliveries.|
Improving your Porter Grade is a necessary aspect to proceed in Death Stranding. Because the results of completed missions affect how much Sam's abilities improve, performing well on each mission is key to making the subsequent missions easier to complete.
