DPS and Damage

The weapons of Halcyon are devastating and, in the hands of a skilled warrior, lethal when used against enemies. In this section, you will learn more about the DPS and Damage of a weapon -- specifically the DPS factor.

What is DPS?

When you speak about a weapon's damage, you talk about the damage it causes in a single shot.

DPS stands for damage per second or the damage that your enemy receives from all projectiles, when you continuously gun down an enemy or keep on attacking with a sword or hammer.

Damage Types

The enemies you encounter in the game will be resistant to some of these damage types and weak to others.

Name Effect
Physical Weak against Armor
Shock Automechanicals don't stand a chance
Plasma Good against Flesh, Mantisaurs can shrug this damage off
Corrosive Good against Armors of multiple enemies including Automechanicals, Mantisaurs, and Heavy Armor
N-Ray Bypasses Armor, non-organics can withstand it
