Loot. Items. Artifacts. Equipments. Whatever you may call them, items help make your group's lives in The Outer World just a bit easier. There are different items, but each serves a purpose in the game.
These are items that are meant to be used once only, and generally have a positive effect on your Attributes or other stats. These items can be used together with the Inhaler for quick application during battle. Once used up, they will disappear from your inventory.
This is a small subset of items consisting of tools used in repairing Weapons and Armor, picking locks, and hacking terminals.
These items are used to fulfill a specific purpose in a Quest, and can't be used outside of a particular point in the game.
These are items that have no specific purpose whatsoever. Items of these type can either be sold safely to a vendor or broken down to serve as parts.

Geothermal Passcode | An administrative passcode allowing access into the Emerald Vale Geothermal Facility. |
Guide to Mechanical Engineering, Vol. 3 | The Young Spacer's Guide to Mechanical Engineering, Volum 3. A dense, technical primer on mechanical engineering published by Spacer's Choice. This volume discusses the operation and maintenance of computing terminals. |
Ludwig's Gravesite Fee | Ludwig Miller's gravesite fees. Paperwork enclosed. To be delivered to Silas. |
Phyllis' Gravesite Fee | Phyllis Granger's gravesite fees. Paperwork enclosed. To be delivered to Silas. |
Primal Leather | The leathery hide of a primal serves many purposes: thermoregulation, camouflage, rain resistance, and even sexual communication. This strip in particular seems to be attempting to hold as much odor as possible. |
