Cut Rut Attack Patterns

Water Shots

At a distance, Cut Ruts will send multiple shots of water at you that, if you allow yourself to get hit many times, can inflct the Soaked Status Ailment. Individual hits themselves cause minimal damage but may prove to be problematic if you're hit by multiple shots from more than one Cut Rut.

Spinning Attack

Coming in close for an attack will force the Cut Rut to defensively spin while moving. Receiving a hit from this attack can cause you to stumble to the ground.

Cut Rut Strategies

Use Psychokinesis Attacks

Due to how effective its Spinning Attack is, the only way you can break the shell of a Cut Rut is by using Psychokinesis Attacks on it. If you have special objects nearby, Special Object Attacks are also a more effective alternative.

Use Combo Vision

Although best used in reserve when tougher opponents are in the area, using Combo Visions to aid in destroying the shells of a Cut Rut can help cut the amount of time you dedicate to the task. Doing so also frees up the use of your Psychokinesis Gauge for use later on.
