The best base locations in Dune: Awakening are on Jabal Eifrit Al-Gharb borders, near water sources, trade posts, enemies, POIs, and resources to progress efficiently.

On Jabal Eifrit Al-Gharb Borders
The best base location is on the borders of Jabal Eifrit Al-Gharb, as the area is near major sites for resources and materials needed for the game's later stages.
When farming Iron Ore, it is easy to cross to Western Vermillius Gap. The area itself is rich in Carbon Ore, and you can go to the Eastern Shield Wall for Aluminum Ore. There is even a big primrose field on the spot shown in the image above, providing a stable source of water.
The location is a good hub of resources located near four biomes covering all materials needed to craft an Ornithopter.
How to Get an Ornithopter Fast
Near Water Sources
Water is a highly coveted resource essential for all game stages. The best base location would be near these water sources, which are greatly sought after.
Place Near Dew Plants and Enemy Camps
Players will find setting up their bases near water sources beneficial, as Water is essential throughout the early up to the late stages of the game.
Various areas throughout each region of the map have Dew patches, so be on the lookout for these locations!
Near Resource Hotspots
A primary consideration when setting up your base is being close to resource hotspots. Resources make up the majority of the building and crafting mechanics, and players will need to collect them often.
We recommend choosing a base location that is close to multiple resources to progress through the game efficiently.
Near Trade Posts
The best location to establish your base in Dune: Awakening is near any of the trade posts. Trade Posts offer multiple advantages in the early game, such as access to Vendors and Contract Boards.
Trading posts are also mostly situated in the center of their corresponding maps, so setting up a base near them will allow you to rest before every mission.
Set Up Your Base In The Anvil
The Anvil is a good location to build your base as it is a central location and is an excellent spot for transitioning from the early to mid-game and mid to late game. It is a pivotal location that makes for a good base.
Around Enemy Outposts
Enemy Outposts are rich with materials and enemies, making for a high-risk, high-reward challenge for players.
Being situated around enemy outposts will allow you to get blood for Water and special materials like Ray Amplifiers, Calibrated Servoks, and potentially Unique Schematics.
Set up Around The Hand of Khidr
The Hand of Khidr is a good base location for the mid-game as it has Dew Plants, enemy camps, and resource hotspots.
Set up your base around the area to comfortably transition into the late game.
Close to Enemy Camps and Caves
One of the best base locations is near an enemy camp. In the early game, these locations can provide a good source of blood that can be turned into Water for hydration.
Source of Salvaged Metal and Fuel Cells
Scavenger camps are also good sources of salvaged metal and fuel cells, essential materials for crafting in the early game.
Near Shipwrecks and Testing Stations
Shipwrecks and Testing Stations are points of interest (POIs) in Dune: Awakening that provide special materials needed for crafting, with some having potential Unique Schematics in the area.
We suggest setting up your base near them to have access to these materials and enemies.
Create Your Base near Wreck of the Kytheria
A good base location is near the Wreck of the Kytheria in Hagga Rift. The area is abundant in Carbon Ores, and players can explore the Wreck of the Kytheria to gather Plasteel Microflora Fiber and Mechanical Parts.
