Counters for Onomat

  • Requires several Xyz monsters.
  • Vulnerable to disruption cards.

Disrupt their Xyz Summons

It usually takes a few turns for this Deck to bring out its Xyz Monsters, but once it does, it quickly picks up momentum. Before it reaches this point, make sure to disrupt as much of their setup as possible to prevent them from Xyz Summoning before you can execute your plays.

Target their Spell Cards

Most Onomat Decks run a variety of Spell Cards that can support their monsters. These Spell Cards can incapacitate you and grant them massive advantages in the Duel. Make sure to watch out for these devastating Spell Cards and negate or destroy them if you can.
