Counters for Spellbook

Weaknesses

  • A bit too reliant on Spellbook of Fate.
  • Quite frankly, there are better control decks at the moment.
  • Struggles heavily against cards that can negate Spell cards.

No Spells Allowed

Spellbooks are heavily reliant from the plethora of Spell Cards they use; it is safe to assume Trap Cards are not commonly in their Decks. An anti-Spell Deck can easily stop this archetype dead in its tracks. Great Shogun Shien and Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 are great tech card examples against Spellbook decks, as they completely slow or shut down the use of Spell Cards.

Negate Their Banishing Effects

This deck relies on banishing cards as much as it relies on controlling the field--one of the few Decks to utlize Banishing as a core mechanic. You can completely slow them down once you negate one banishing card.
