How to Play Desperado

Main Combo

Cup of Ace.png

1. Activate Cup of Ace as you draw them while Master of Destiny is still active to increase your hand and thin your Deck.
2. Special Summon Machina Fortress by discarding it and another Dark Machine monster from your hand.
3. You can use BM-4 Blast Spider to destroy a Dark Machine monster you control or have your opponent destroy it.
4. Special Summon Desperado Barrel Dragon from your hand by its own effect or with Super Team Buddy Force Unite!
5. While Master of Destiny is still active, activate the effect of Desperado Barrel Dragon to destroy your opponent's monsters.
6. Use Karma Cut on any problematic card on your opponent's side of the field.
7. Once your opponent has no or few cards left on the field, it will be easy to take them out.
8. If any of your important monsters were sent to the Graveyard, return them to the field with Super Team Buddy Force Unite!

Counters for Desperado

  • Difficult to maintain card advantage.
  • The Deck is not always consistent.

Gain Control of the Feild

Desperado Decks need to have control of the field to successfully perform their combos and activate their effects. To prevent the other player from gaining the upper hand, you need to control the field before they do.

Protect Monsters from Card Effects

Part of the Deck's main strategy is destroying monsters with card effects. Either activate Spells and Traps that can protect your most valued monsters or use monsters that cannot be destroyed by card effects in the first place.
