Skills can make or break Folklore in ALICE Fiction, and it's important to know which skills you should upgrade first. Read on to learn which skills you should upgrade for which character, and how to make them stronger.
List of Contents
To upgrade your Folklore's Skill, you can go to the Character Menu and press the 'Enhance' button under the Skill tab. You will be told how many Credits will be spent and the new level of your Skill.
The higher the level, the stronger the skill, and the more Credits you'll need.
Attack-type Folklore, be they Physical or Special types, deal heavy damage to their enemy mainly through the use of their Crash Skills. Upgrading Crash Skills first is recommended to boost their attack power immediately. Especially if you're running low on Credits.
Support Folklore, or Buff, Debuff, and Recovery-type Folklore, shine most through the use of their Active Skills. These skills can either give helpful buffs to their allies, damage the enemy with debilitating debuffs, or restore their HP.
If you're running low on Credits, prioritize upgrading a Support Folklore's Active Skills first.
Passive Skills are helpful in that they grant buffs to characters or inflict debuffs to enemies when certain conditions are met. However, we suggest upgrading them last as these skills won't be necessary until late in the game.
Additionally, they are only unlocked once your Folklore has reached Grade 5. Before then you might have already equipped your Folklore with a World Memory that has already strengthened your Folklore. So we suggest upgrading Passive Skills later when you can afford to.
If you have Folklore in your party that serve no clear role, then you may want to level up their skills evenly until you figure out what you can do with them, or replace them with a more suitable Folklore.
Type | Features |
---|---|
Attack | Heavy damage vs. enemies |
Buff | Increased stats for allies and decreased stats for enemies |
Debuff | Decreased stats for enemies and a chance to inflict damage on them every turn without attacking |
Defense | Increased stats for Phys./Spec. Def stats and barriers that can absorb damage |
Recovery | Removal of harmful debuffs inflicted on allies, healing of their HP. |
Crash Skills are made whenever you break three adjacent same-colored panels during battle. The effects of these skills differ between characters and their types. Breaking more of the adjacent same-colored panels in battle levels them up, making them even more powerful.
Make sure to level up your heaviest-hitting Crash Skills first to deal as much damage as you can to enemies.
Crash Skill Effect Formula |
---|
Damage = [Attack-related Stat] + [Damage set by Skill] |
Buff / Debuff Effect = [Effect determined by Skill Level] |
Crash Skill damage is calculated by adding the Phys. or Spec. Atk stat of the character using it and how much damage is set for the skill at its Level. There are a few exceptions to this rule, however.
Other factors such as stat buffs and debuffs will also affect the calculation of a Crash Skill's damage.
Type | Features |
---|---|
Attack | ・Buff one's own stats or debuff the enemy's stats. ・Absorb panels to increase stats. ・Transform your panels or the panels of your allies into Crash Skill Panels. |
Buff | ・Grant powerful offensive or defensive buffs to your allies. ・Extend the time for Attack Mode, letting you break more panels for more damage. |
Debuff | ・Inflict devastating debuffs on enemies and status effects that can damage them for a set amount of turns. ・Inflict Attack or Skill Binds on enemies, which prevents them from either attacking or using skills for a set number of turns. |
Defense | ・Grant defense-related stat buffs to your allies. ・Grant barriers that absorb damage to yourself and your allies. ・Taunt enemies into attacking you first, letting your allies attack without getting damaged. |
Recovery | ・Heal allies and remove debuffs inflicted on them. ・Remove buffs from enemies. |
Active Skills are activated during a turn's first phase during battle and are unlocked by Grading Up your character. After using them once, you will have to wait a set number of turns before you're allowed to use them again.
Type | Features |
---|---|
Attack | ・Improve your attack performance. |
Buff | ・Improve the offensive/defensive stats of allies. |
Debuff | ・Inflict debuffs on enemies. |
Defense | ・Increase your defensive skills as well as those of your allies. |
Recovery | ・Recover more HP when using Active Skills and become resistant to various statuses. |
Passive Skills grant buffs for your Folklore and inflict debuffs on your enemies if certain conditions are met. Though their effects are less stronger than those of Active Skills, those effects will remain throughout a battle as long as the conditions stay in place.
