Using a friend's Support Character may be what you need to get past a really tough quest. Here you'll learn how to get a Support Character from a friend, as well as the pros and cons of using Support Characters.
List of Contents
1 | Press the Support Button Before Attempting a Quest While picking the party you'll use for the Quest, press the Get Support button at the center bottom of the screen. |
---|---|
2 | Select a Friend's Support Character You will be brought to a screen where all your friends and their Support Folklore will be featured. Select one by pressing the blue Get Support button. |
3 | Select a Party Member to Replace with the Support Character Keep your original party build in mind as you select who to replace with the Support Character. Replacing the wrong Folklore might disrupt conditions for another Folklore's skills to activate. |
4 | The Support Character Becomes Part of Your Team You can use the Support Character for one Quest only, as the Folklore you replaced will return to your party afterward. You'll have to get support in the next Quest if you want to use a Support Character again. |
Is there a Quest you just can't get through because you've run out of Expansion Items, Credits, or Battle Records to make your Folklore stronger? Then using Support Characters will be perfect for completing it and getting much-needed resources.
Getting a certain Folklore as a Support Character will allow you to test them out in battle. This way, you'll see if they'll work well with your current party build before you get that Folklore for yourself and invest resources to make them stronger.
One of the downsides to using Support Characters is that they won't be able to gain EXP from Quests. This means only five of your Folklores will get stronger through battle instead of six.
This makes depending on Support Characters to clear quests disadvantageous in the long run if you want to build a very strong party.
Another downside to Support Characters is that using them locks you out of getting a 3-Star Clear for the Quest. Without a 3-Star Clear, you will not be able to skip the Quest and farm it for EXP, Credits, and other resources later.
