Use Your Folklore Often in Battle

Every time your Folklore participates in battle, it gains Experience Points that go toward raising their Bond Level with you. If you want to raise a specific Folklore's Bond Level, you will have to use them in battle often.

Remember that every Folklore that participated in a battle gains experience points. This means you can raise the Bond Level of multiple characters in one battle.

The Bond Level mechanic is ALICE Fiction's affection system. It shows how close a Folklore is to their Contractor, which is what those who control Folklore are called in-game.

Get to Know Your Folklore Better

When you raise your Folklore's Bond Level, you unlock more entries in their 'Profile' and 'Voices' tabs in the Character Menu.

The Profile tab shows the background of the character, as well as details behind the historical figure they are based on, while the Voices tab lets you listen to their voice lines. The higher the Bond Level, the more entries are unlocked, further revealing the Folklore's backstory.

Spend Time With Your Folklore

A higher Bond Level also unlocks Story Episodes you can access through the Character Menu. These episodes feature the protagonist and the Folklore spending time with each other outside of the main story. The player is rewarded with Quartz after the episode.
